Tourist information about Mougins

During the Middle Ages this little village, that is spirally constructed at the top of a hill, was one of the most important sites of Cannes. But times have changed and Mougins has become the home of many secondary residences due to its real-estate development. Many red rooftops and blue squares, representing swimming pools, can be seen on the surrounding hill tops. The old town, not to be confused with the modern Mougins-le-haut complex, is fortified by ramparts from the 15th century and offers a splendid view of Grasse and Cannes. The area is charming, with its many paths and is colourfully decorated with flowers. Its tiny Place de la Mairie is decorated with a fountain and is the nerve centre of its gourmets.
